The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) announced development of a new robot, the Hub FX-1 chair bot. It is an oversized chair with legs that can carry a person who weighs up to 220 pounds, (100 kilograms). Each ankle has a 3-axis force/torque sensor that measures the normal force.
